Client - Kings Super Markets
Assignment - JAT was asked by Kings Super Markets
to provide strategic development and project management for the implementation
of Lawson's HR Process Suite, including Payroll, Personnel, Time Accrual
and Benefits.
Challenge - Working together with the Kings
project team, JAT faced a number of challenges including:
The coordination of both a Lawson software implementation
with the concurrent implementation of a Kronos time and attendance
system.
The integration of a complicated set of union rules,
which impacted the pay calculation and time accrual functions of the
Lawson system.
The development of a system implementation strategy
that will accomplish the objectives above without the need to customize
the Lawson code, eliminating costly and time consuming steps for future
upgrades.
Solution - Drawing on years of experience, JAT
submitted recommendations that culminated in the formation of a Kings/JAT
implementation team with key Kings employees assigned to the Lawson and
Kronos systems. These individuals, together with the JAT team members,
collaborated throughout the Conference Room Pilot and Gap Analysis phases
of the project to ensure a successful parallel implementation.
Results - As a result of the productive and efficient
team effort between JAT and Kings, the HR, Payroll and Benefits modules
for 2800 weekly and bi-weekly Kings employees went live on a Lawson system
that remained 100% vanilla, on time and on budget.
